How To Travel The Country (Almost) Non-Stop

Don't you wish that you could just throw stuff in a vehicle and go all over the country with nary a stop for fuel or food? If and when you are finally willing to commit to such an adventure, there are ways to accomplish such a feat without having to stop for fuel or food, at least for a while, anyway. Here is how.

Fueling Equipment

If you have a trailer hitch on the back of your vehicle, guess what? You can purchase a fueling trailer and take your fuel with you! Just think about it: you fill up your vehicle and the fueling tank or trailer with the cheapest gas you find. That would easily last you for a few thousand miles, or until you spot another cheap gas stop. The best part is that these trailers have their own gas pumps so that you can fuel your vehicle directly from your own personal gas station trailing behind you!

If you intend on flying everywhere, these fueling trailers are best left on the ground. Unless you intend to pay for in-flight fuel delivery, you will have to land at some point anyway. Then the fueling equipment used at airports are similar to the gas trailers you would pull along on the ground, with the one exception that these trailers are equipped to haul jet and plane fuel.

Food on the Road and in the Air

Cars, trucks, and planes always have plenty of space for coolers and multiple options for plugging in mini-fridges. Put the coolers and mini-fridges on board, and fill them with sandwiches, lunchmeat, loaves of bread, drinks, fruits and maybe veggie snacks. Dry cupboard goods such as chips, canned food, and pre-cooked meals hermetically sealed in plastic containers can be stored in boxes, or you can make full pre-made meals and pack them in lunch kits.

Every time you have to stop for sleep or to refuel, move a bunch of drinks and meal kits into the front seat or co-pilot seat with you. That way you never have to stop driving or flying to eat and drink. Just reach over, and grab a kit and a drink!

On Autopilot

At some point, you would have to stop and sleep. However, there are ways around this as well. A plane can be placed on autopilot. A super expensive car can be set to drive itself. If you know that there are no storms and little chance for running into other vehicles on the road for several miles, your really expensive self-driving car or your plane can manage things while you catch forty winks. It also helps to have an extra adult traveling with you!
